Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in November 2024 reached 36.04 percent or decreased by 5.81 points compared to October 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in November 2023 which was recorded at 43.90 percent, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku also decreased by around 7.86 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in November 2024 reached 19.79 percent or decreased by 1.14 points compared to October 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in November 2024 was 2.23 days or increased by 0.19 points compared to October 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, on the other hand, there was a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 0.68 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in November 2024 was 1.63 days or down 0.15 points compared to October 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.05 points. In November 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 131.31 thousand trips. This number decreased by 8.00 percent compared to October 2024 (month-to-month) and increased by 71.80 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In November 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as the area of origin and as the destination area.
