Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in August 2024 reached 37.11 percent or decreased by 2.96 points compared to July 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in August 2023 which was recorded at 38.09 percent, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku also decreased by around 0.98 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in August 2024 reached 17.96 percent or decreased by 0.64 points compared to July 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in August 2024 was 1.86 days or decreased by 0.33 points compared to July 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 1.16 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in August 2024 was 1.67 days or down 0.17 points compared to July 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.12 points. In August 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 129.52 thousand trips. This number decreased by 8.44 percent compared to July 2023 (month-to-month) and increased by 80.81 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In August 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as an area of origin and as a destination
