Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in December 2024 reached 39.54 percent or increased by 3.50 points compared to November 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in December 2023 which was recorded at 41.89 percent, on the other hand, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku decreased by around 2.35 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in December 2024 reached 20.61 percent or increased by 0.82 points compared to November 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in December 2024 was 2.04 days or decreased by 0.19 points compared to November 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 1.22 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in December 2024 was 1.59 days or down 0.04 points compared to November 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.01 points.
In December 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 290.21 thousand trips. This number increased by 121.01 percent compared to November 2024 (month-to-month) and decreased by 0.64 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In December 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as the area of origin and as the destination area.
