Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in November 2024 was 99.75 or an increase of 1.08 percent compared to October 2024 which was recorded at 98.68. The increase in NTP was due to the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have increased by 1.19 percent and an increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.11 percent.
In November 2024, Maluku Province was ranked 36th out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 99.75. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 201.18; while the lowest NTP occurred in Bali Province at 99.13.
It was recorded that four subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (1.47 percent), the people's plantation subsector (2.56 percent), the livestock subsector (0.90 percent) and the fisheries subsector (0.87 percent). Meanwhile, one other subsector experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the horticulture subsector (-3.76 percent).
In November 2024, there was an increase in IKRT of 0.10 percent.
The NTUP of Maluku Province in November 2024 increased by 1.06 percent compared to October 2024, namely from 107.25 to 108.39.
