Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in December 2024 was 100.27 or an increase of 0.53 percent compared to November 2024 which was recorded at 99.75. The increase in NTP was due to the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded as increasing by 0.33 percent and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.20 percent.
In December 2024, Maluku Province was ranked 35th out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 100.27. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 202.65; while the lowest NTP occurred in West Papua Province at 98.88.
Two sub-sectors recorded an increase in NTP, namely the people's plantation sub-sector (1.93 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (0.27 percent). Meanwhile, three other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.91 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (-1.17 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.08 percent).
In December 2024, there was a decrease in IKRT by 0.22 percent.
The NTUP of Maluku Province in December 2024 increased by 0.22 percent compared to November 2024, namely from 108.38 to 108.62.
