Abstract

In November 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Maluku Province was 2.23 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.43. The highest inflation (y-on-y) occurred in Ambon City at 2.65 percent with a CPI of 107.64 and the lowest occurred in Tual City at 0.50 percent with a CPI of 106.37.
Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in 8 expenditure group indices, namely: the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 8.41 percent; personal care and other services group by 5.98 percent; health group by 4.77 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.86 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.93 percent; education group by 0.78 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.48 percent; and the household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.35 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the transportation group by 0.57 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.18 percent and the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.04 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in Maluku Province in November 2024 was 0.25 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.69 percent
