The total workforce based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in February 2024 was 949,084 people, an increase of 47,313 people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 1.94 percentage points.
The working population is 892,547 people, an increase of 45,626 people from February 2023. The employment opportunities that experienced the largest increase were Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, amounting to 35,758 people.
A total of 317,393 people (35.56 percent) worked in formal activities, an increase of 0.80 percentage points compared to February 2023.
The percentage of underemployed and part-time workers decreased by 1.97 percentage points and 2.00 percentage points respectively compared to February 2023.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February 2024 was 5.96 percent, down 0.12 percentage points compared to February 2023.
