Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) for Maluku Province in December 2022 was 103.88, down 0.89 percent compared to November 2022 which was recorded at 104.81. The decline in FTT was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which was recorded to have fallen by 0.64 percent and an increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.26 percent.
In December 2022 Maluku Province was in 20th place out of 34 provinces with a NTP of 103.88. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 152.94; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 95.61.
Four sub-sectors recorded a decline in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-1.34 percent), the Horticulture sub-sector (-1.77 percent), the smallholder plantation sub-sector (-0.66 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.53 percent). . Meanwhile, the livestock sub-sector experienced an increase in NTP of 0.08 percent.
In December 2022 there was an increase in IKRT of 0.19 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in December 2022 decreased by 1.91 percent compared to November 2022, namely from 111.56 to 109.43.
