Abstract

In December 2022, out of 90 CPI cities, it was recorded that all CPI cities experienced year on year (yoy) inflation (December 2022 to December 2021). The highest yoy inflation occurred in Kotabaru City which experienced yoy inflation of 8.65 percent with a CPI of 119.83 and the lowest yoy inflation occurred in Sorong City which experienced yoy inflation of 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.95.

Ambon City experienced yoy inflation of 6.39 percent with a CPI of 116.81. Yoy inflation in Ambon City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in index in 9 expenditure groups, namely the highest in the transportation group of 17.89 percent; and the lowest was in the education group of 0.59 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation was the information, communication and financial services group by 1.04 percent and the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.16 percent.

Tual City experienced yoy inflation of 4.52 percent with a CPI of 115.33. Yoy inflation in Tual City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index in 10 expenditure groups, namely the highest in the food and beverage/restaurant supply group of 17.96 percent; and lowest

in the information, communication and financial services group by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation, namely the health group, was 1.83 percent.

Month to month (mtm) inflation rate (December 2022 to November 2022) Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.55 percent, while Tual City experienced inflation of 0.81 percent.

Year to date (ytd) inflation rate (December 2022 to December 2021) Ambon City experienced inflation of 6.39 percent, while Tual City experienced inflation of 4.52 percent.
